A fabulous funny romantic family drama set in Dublin. Hugh O’Connell is depressed after the premature death of his father. He decides in order to recover he must take a break away from his marriage and his children.
Told as a memoir by the wife, Amy, there are lots of plot twists and turns. Keyes has kept it realistic making it an emotional rollercoaster of a read. It is also hilarious and a real page-turner.
There is a raft of great characters, but Amy is a stand-out and despite the size of the book I read it over one weekend.
